If you’re expecting a classic fruit slot game layout with three or five reels, then you’re in for a shock when playing the Fruit Warp game, as the game does away with any kind of paytable entirely. We’re not even talking about a cluster-pays game grid, there are literally just fruits floating in space. Visually it reminds us of the classic touchscreen game Fruit Ninja. The graphics of the slot are high quality, but the game screen does feel a little sparse, but that’s probably because we’re used to seeing a reel set fill the screen. We’re not sure how Thunderkick connected the lines between fruit and space, but for some reason in the Fruit Warp slot, it just works. Visually, Thunderkick has kept things more suggestive and despite its suggested space theme, you won’t see the cosmos, any stars, or a friendly astronaut. Instead, the wormhole to space is expressed by a vibrant backdrop which the fruit hovers weightlessly in front of.

As mentioned, the symbols are all different kinds of fruit which players will be familiar with. All of these fruits are rendered in 3D which helps enhance the weightless ‘floating in space’ effect. You'll find watermelons, blackberries, oranges, bananas, strawberries, cherries, and more in this game. Each fruit piece has a unique worth. 

For instance, matching five on the Watermelon will yield a payout of 2.40x your bet. However, if you are able to match all nine symbols, you will be paid 42x your bet, the lowest paying symbol, the cherries still offers a nice payout prize of 15x your stake for 9 on a payline too. You’ll even see more obscure tropical fruits like the Pitaya (more commonly known as dragonfruit) which can award up to 216x. Third Wish: Are Fruit Warp’s Features Delicious?

Despite not having any special symbols, the Fruit Warp slot machine does offer two striking bonus features called Portal Respins and Fruit Modes.

Portal Respins

You can activate the Portal Respin feature by landing a win that includes four of the same symbol. The non-winning symbols are then swapped out for fresh ones during a respin. In essence, it offers you one more opportunity to create a more lucrative combination.

Fruit Modes

The Fruit Mode feature is triggered when five or more matching symbols are found in a winning combination. The triggering fruit symbol will cause the backdrop colour to shift to match. The Warp Metre advances one step for each sign that corresponds to the Fruit Mode kind. And then there's a respin.

When at least one symbol (unless the Warp Metre is full) corresponds with the Fruit Mode type, a new respin is given. More significantly, certain steps have additional life and dynamic multipliers. In the event that players are unable to land a matching symbol, extra lives are used.

The dynamic multipliers gain value with every victory. The multiplier increment is determined by the number of matched symbols. The final multiplier attained determines the overall amount gained.
